THIRD ANNUAL SUMMERS REUNION LARGELY ATTENDED

This document is compiled from a newspaper article posted in a local paper.  The original article was given to me by Ann Rawlings, d/o Harold and Ruby Summers.  No attempt has been made to correct grammar or spelling. Footnotes have been added to provide identity of individuals. This reunion took place in August 1932.  My assumption, collaborated by Ann Rawlings, for this date is the youngest person present was Donna Summers at 4 weeks old.  She was born July 11th, 1932.  It appears the end of the article is missing and there is one name that has been scratched out (see footnote 53).  As it stands there are 117 names in the article.  Dale R. Nichols Park; Name

Nearly 125 persons attended the third annual family reunion at the Nichols[1] park Sunday.  The weather was not ideal for a gathering of this kind but many came a long distance to be present on the occasion.  The places represented were Pueblo, Colo.; Wausaukee, Wis.; Gary, Ind.; St. Louis, Detroit, Mich,; Lansing, Mich.; Virden, Waverly, Rushville, Bluff Springs, Prentice, Alexander, Peoria, Winchester, Manchester, White Hall, Woodson and Murrayville.

At noon a bountiful basket dinner was served and greatly enjoyed, after which a voluntary program was given and a short business meeting held at which time officers for the ensuing year were elected.  They are as follows:
