It's Been Awhile Now

This page is dedicated to the memory of my brother, David Wayne Summers who passed away on September 29, 1998 at a young age of 39.

Well, David, another year has come and gone and I'm late with the update.

We all went to Knoxville this year and had a great time. I thought Sammy had a chance to win it but, as usual, on Saturday night he went brain dead.

Ken's Corner has changed hands again.  Some good people run it now.  There is a hole in the ground where the Depot used to be.  I think someone said it burnt down.

Dad and Mom and everyone are doing as good as can be expected.  We've all had a pretty good year.

Shelbi is still growing.  She is a cute as a button.  Thank God she got her Mother's good looks!  She is doing good in school and is still playing sports.

I ran into Joe Booth on the internet a couple of months back and he said to say "Hi".  He said you guys had some great times together.

I ran across the title of the old 71 Chevy Chevelle we bought when you first came to Georgia the other day.  Boy were there some memories tied to it!  I put it back in the box for old times sake.

I still think of you most everyday.  I think I miss you less sometimes but I'm not sure.

Well, that's about all the news I have.  I'll write again next year to keep you posted.

Have a good 'un.

Dale Summers
