Morning Hunt Harvested

We hunted the morning in an area between a Sudex field and a drainage canal.  The birds were "dug in deep".  They had gotten down into the brush piles and didn't want to flush.  We had to send the dogs in after them.  I shot terribly bad only getting 3 quail and 2 chukars in the morning.  Reggie shot much better.  He probably got 20 birds total for the morning.

After a great dinner of Rib Eye sandwiches, potatoes chips, chili and all the fixings provided by Sue, we continued to hunt the afternoon in the edge of the sudex fields and in the timber lines. 

 The afternoon hunt as much better for me.  I started shooting much better. As you can tell by the pictures it was a great day of hunting.
