Additional Summers

Our new "old" house was built in 1917-18 according to the local gossip. It has a large lot with lots of trees. It has a jungle for a back yard which I will clear next spring. There is a one car garage with an attached carport behind and to the right of the house. The downstairs has 9 foot ceilings. The upstairs has traditional 8 foot ceilings.

The house was remodeled in 1992. New wiring, a new furnace, AC, roof and carpets were added at that time. Plaster cracks and flaws were repaired. The kitchen was remodel in 1999. New appliances and counter tops were added.

No gem is without its flaws. A back entryway was added some years after the completion of the home. The entryway has major settling on one wall which will require renovation to correct. Just another honey-do to add to the list.
