Party TIME |
|
For
New Years the family and friends ventured over to Charleston, S.C. for a weekend
of New Year's celebration. There were Amy and Reggie, Janice (Amy's
mother) and her friend Joe, friends Suzie and Ray, and Sherry and myself.
A great time was had by all! The only disappointment of the weekend was
our daughter Angie and her husband Darrin could not be there because of a
medical emergency.

We started the evening off with a huge dinner at Poogan's Porch. It was a recommended three star restaurant. |
They food was awful; the price was outrageous; the booze was bad but no one got "spooked" by Poogan's ghost! |
We're off to Henry's Bar and Restaurant down in the historical district for an evening of thrills, spills and just plain fun. |

| Amy, Reggie, Janice and Joe had been holding the fort down for a couple of hours. We had a window seat view overlooking historical Market Street. The window was open and we talked to the passing crowds all night. | Joe,
Janice and Reggie having some quiet time while everyone else was getting settle in for a night of drinking and story telling. |
It's starting to get better! Joe and Janice begin to liven things up! |

| Charleston was hoppin' with students from USC (University of South Carolina) These are three of the really lovely, nice and smart ones who came by our window! | Amy really hit it off with the girls from USC. I guess she was the only one young enough to understand them. | More celebrants who came by our window during the evening. |
| Are these party animals or what! Ooorah for Mic light. |
We partied until
2:30a.m. Everyone wanted to go to the Waffle House. Isn't there
supposed to be one on every corner! We drove around for an hour trying to
find one we could get in. We finally got seated around 3:30 a.m. We
got to bed around 4:30 a.m. Everyone slept in the next day.
